2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Passenger and Cargo Space
With an array of enhancements introduced this year, the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe is the perfect example of a great thing made better. Among these improvements, we see a significant boost in the SUV’s already spacious interior. Keep reading to discover what the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe has to offer in terms of passenger and cargo space.
Passenger Space Dimensions
Despite its title, the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe is intended as a replacement for the 5-seat 2018 Santa Fe Sport—not the 7-seat Santa Fe. The 7-seat 2018 Santa Fe does have a 2019 replacement available under the title Santa Fe XL. Accordingly, the 2019 Santa Fe is a 2-row crossover that comfortably seats 5 passengers.
For the 2019 Santa Fe, it’s a year of substantial growth—literally. The model builds on the 2018 Santa Fe Sport’s perfectly functional 108.0 cubic feet of passenger space, expanding it to a grand total of 110.7 cubic feet. This growth results in a 1.5-inch increase in second-row legroom for the 2019 model. With 39.2 inches of head room, 58.3 inches of shoulder room, 56.3 inches of hip room and 40.9 inches of legroom, these rear seats provide more than enough space to comfortably seat adult passengers. Up front, passengers enjoy a little extra space with 41.2 inches of head room, 59.1 inches of shoulder room, 57.5 inches of hip room and 44.1 inches of legroom.

Cargo Space Dimensions
The 2019 Santa Fe also sees a bit of a boost in cargo space compared to the 2018 Santa Fe Sport. The SUV now delivers a whopping 35.9 inches of cargo space behind the rear seats, which should be more than enough to meet the needs of any small to midsize family. If you’re riding without rear passengers, the rear seats fold flat to deliver up to 71.3 inches of cargo space. The 2019 Santa Fe’s 60/40 split rear seats allow you to further match your vehicle’s layout to your own mix of cargo and passengers.
