We just got done diving into some more specific details on the all-new 2020 Sonata last week, so today we figured we’d shift gears to the other big reveal from the New York International Auto Show that we haven’t yet gotten to cover in detail. That vehicle is, of course, the 2020 Hyundai Venue! With an expected release date of sometime in the fourth quarter of 2019, we cannot wait to get our hands on one. Until then, we’ll have to make do with photos details on the specs, features & other highlights.

We thought we’d start out by just highlighting some of the biggest features the Venue is expected to offer. A majority of the highlighted features found in the Venue revolve around advanced technologies, both for safety and other aspects of the vehicle. The latter includes things like an 8” display audio system featuring Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth Hands-Free and next-gen Blue Link, dual-charging USB ports, a rear-view monitor, heated front seats and side mirrors and even driver-selectable modes that enhance driving for different conditions, such as snow. As for the former, safety tech includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Driver Attention Warning and Rear Cross-Traffic Warning.
Most of the important specifications that we’re aware of at this point revolve around the 1.6L Smartstream Gamma four-cylinder engine underpinning the Venue. While estimates of power and efficiency are only internal currently, we imagine they won’t vary much as we get closer to the release date, though we’ll be sure to update you if they do. For now, we expect the Venue to generate 121 horsepower – more than enough for such a tiny crossover vehicle – while achieving 33 miles per gallon combined.
Space would be another important specification to consider, namely passenger volume and cargo capacity. As for the former, you and your friends or family will have 91.9 cubic feet of space to stretch out and get comfortable in, along with 18.7 cu. ft. of space in the cargo hold. You’ll also be able to drop the back row to open up 31.9 cu. ft. Be sure to keep checking back to our blog for even more information regarding the 2020 Hyundai Venue.
