The new 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz comes with two different engine options. The standard is a 2.5L 4-cylinder setup with 191 hp and 181 lb.-ft. of torque. This can be further upgraded to a turbocharged 2.5L 4-cylinder with 281 hp and 311 lb.-ft. of torque. Both of these engines have standard FWD powertrain which can be upgraded to an available AWD.
The base engine has an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 21/26 MPG on FWD and 21/27 MPG on AWD. It takes just about 8.0 seconds to go from 0-60 MPH. However, the upgraded turbocharged engine is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and has a fuel economy of 19/27 MPG on AWD. The 0-60 MPH acceleration takes about 6.0 seconds.
