For the most part, you can get the top safety features of the Tucson at the Value trim level and the Limited trim just adds the surround view monitor. However, the Ultimate trim does add one more feature. Forward collision avoidance, which comes standard on the Value trim, adds pedestrian detection exclusively at the top Ultimate trim level.

The extra tech that you get with the Ultimate trim is the real selling point of this machine. The first thing you might notice on the interior is the gorgeous 8-inch infotainment screen that replaced the 7-inch screen which comes standard at all other trim levels. This new 8-inch touchscreen still comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto like the other trim levels, but it adds navigation.

Other tech exclusive to the Ultimate trim includes smart cruise control with stop & go that can keep you moving with the flow of traffic without touching the pedals. The gauge cluster also gets an upgrade with a 4.2-inch LCD screen replacing the 3.5-inch display screen from other trim levels.

The Ultimate trim even adds little touches like high beam assist to go along with the automatic headlights that already come standard at every Tucson trim level. Rain sensing wipers are another added convenience that’s great to have.
