Things to Do for Halloween 2017 in Brevard County
Oct. 21, 27, 28 from 7:30 – 11:30pm
As if airboat rides weren’t unique and fun enough, they are even better when they are haunted airboat rides. That’s exactly what you’ll find at Camp Holly on select dates, leading up to Halloween, right here in Melbourne. You’ll be able to discover swamp monsters on this ride which takes you through the St. Johns River, in addition to a haunted trail for the bravest of the brave.
Oct. 28 from 11am – 2pm
For many families, the Halloween season wouldn’t be complete without taking part in Melbourne’s Main Street Annual Trick or Treat celebration with the Melbourne Police Department. This is a special Trunk or Treat event. This takes place at Melbourne City Hall just a few days before Halloween and gives children the opportunity to meet police officers, explore vehicles, and grab a whole lot of candy from local businesses.
Oct. 20 – Oct. 29 from 7 – 10pm
The Haunted Jail Trail takes you out into the woods behind the Brevard County Jail for a long line of spooks and scares. In fact, this event is terrifying enough that no pregnant women, infants or children being carried are allowed to participate, and it is not recommended for children under 12. However, if you’re brave enough, you can at least know that the cost of your ticket goes toward a good cause… Junior Achievement for the Space Coast, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Charity.
Oct. 28 from 5 – 9pm
For something a little less spooky, consider Howl At The Moon, an event presented by the 45th Space Wing at the Golf Course/Marina Complex. During the festivities, there will be giant inflatables, glow foot golf, a costume contest, pony rides, pumpkin decorating, rock wall climbing, food, drinks and a whole lot more. This takes place just before Halloween so it doesn’t have to interfere with any trick or treating.
