Step-By-Step Guide for Changing the Time On Your Hyundai

How to Set the Clock In Your Hyundai

The time for setting your clocks back is quickly approaching. This year, Daylight Saving Time ends on Nov. 5, 2017 at 2 a.m. Of course, regardless of when you’re reading this, you’ll need to change the time on your clocks by one hour twice each year. This may be easy to do with analog watches and clocks, but with digital, such as the one on your Hyundai, you’ll need to follow some instructions to learn how to set the clock to the right time.

Keep in mind that the instructions for changing the clock in your Hyundai may vary by model year. We are focusing on more recent models from the 2016 and 2017 model years, though the instructions may likely be similar for your vehicle either way. If the instructions don’t seem to make sense for your particular Hyundai model, be sure to contact us at Coastal Hyundai for assistance.

Changing the Time On Your Hyundai Clock

The way you change the time on your Hyundai may be a little different depending on whether the car has a built-in navigation system or not. That being said, the initial steps you take to get to the correct screen for changing the time is the same:

  1. Locate the SETUP hard key and press it.
  2. Locate the clock icon in the infotainment touchscreen and press it.

Now, you should be on the Clock Settings screen. Certain vehicles that have a navigation system will also have a Daylight Savings Time option that you can turn on or off. If you’re adjusting the time in the Fall you’ll want to turn this option off, and when changing the time in the Spring you’ll want this to be on. Vehicles without navigation will simply have to have the time adjusted manually from this screen. This can be done by locating the hour or minute selections and pressing the up or down arrow to change the time for each one.
