What Are the Most Eco-Friendly Cars of 2017?
Earth Day is on the horizon, happening April 22, 2017. Like many auto enthusiasts, it got us wondering what some of the most eco-friendly cars are out on the market today. Thankfully, Kelley Blue Book has wondering the same thing and has named some of the top eco-friendly vehicles currently available in their list of the Top 10 Best Hybrid Cars Under $40,000, as well as other categories.
Determining what the most eco-friendly cars are is not easy, but if you’re looking for a hybrid under that $40,000 price, then Hyundai has some great options. This has been confirmed by Kelley Blue Book, which included two different Hyundai models in that specific list: the Sonata and Ioniq. The Ioniq, specifically, was recognized for its class-leading efficiency.

The Ioniq and hybrid variation of the Sonata weren’t the only Hyundai models that Kelley Blue Book recognized. The Sonata PHEV and Ioniq Electric were also recognized in the top five at the same price point in their respective categories.
If hybrid or electric vehicles aren’t for you, you may also be interested in the 2017 Elantra, which limits gas usage by achieving up to 40 mpg highway. The 2017 Accent, capable of up to 37 mpg highway, may also be a great option. Otherwise, if you desire the versatility of a crossover, then the 2017 Tucson can get you up to 32 mpg highway.
