2019 Hyundai Sonata Palm Bay FL
Every once in a while, an automotive manufacturer will get a little excited about their ideas and decide to push out an enhancement or refreshment in the middle of a model year rather than waiting for the new year. That’s what happened this past year with the Sonata. Hyundai introduced some changes to which features were offered on what trim level, creating “+” models for the 2018.5 mid-model year. While nothing is truly new in the 2019 Hyundai Sonata in Palm Bay FL, all of the changes that happened in the midyear are being carried over into 2019 and dropping the “+”-model nomenclature.
First introduced in 1985, the Hyundai Sonata is one of the brand’s oldest models. It has undergone seven generational shifts, the most recent of which gave us the current generation back in 2015. The Sonata midsize sedan remains one of the brand’s most prevalent and popular models.
Specs & Features of the 2019 Sonata
So, what changed in the midyear? Hyundai shifted around which features come standard on their different trim levels. The only grade that remained unchanged was the Eco trim. Both the SEL and Sport trim level added a sport mesh grille and front fascia, dual-automatic temperature control, floor console-mounted rear vents, Qi wireless device charging, a heated steering wheel and an automatic up/down driver-side window. The Sonata Sport equipped with the Tech Package has added automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, smart cruise control with start/stop technology and an electronic parking brake with automatic vehicle hold.
The Limited trim level also added most of those things, excluding the floor vents, driver’s window and temp control. The Limited equipped with the Ultimate Package adds the sport mesh grille & front fascia as well as a panoramic sunroof while the Limited 2.0T only adds the latter.
