This year saw a complete redesign for the Hyundai Tucson as an all-new model was introduced as a mid-cycle refresh for the compact crossover’s third generation. With enhanced design cues and feature offerings, it’s the best Tucson we’ve laid our hands on yet. We thought we’d see how it measures up to one of its biggest segment rivals by creating a side-by-side comparison between the two. Which competitor did we pick? Well, check out the table below for details about the 2019 Hyundai Tucson vs 2019 Nissan Rogue.
2019 Hyundai Tucson |
vs |
2019 Nissan Rogue |
---|---|---|
181 HP | Horsepower | 170 HP |
25 mpg | Combined Fuel Efficiency | 29 mpg |
16.4 gal | Fuel Capacity | 14.5 gal |
5 | Seating Capacity | 5 |
The table just above depicts how similar these two vehicles are to each other, but it also shows each vehicle’s clear advantage. In the first row, it becomes clear that the 2019 Tucson is capable of generating 181 horsepower, which is 11 HP more than the Rogue. That’s not a huge different by any means, but it is an advantage, and one that gives the Tucson a bit of a more exciting presence on the road.
The Rogue, however, fires back by deliver more fuel efficiency. Traveling an extra 4 miles per gallon of fuel across the highway and city streets combined means the Rogue will probably save you some cash at the pump. Although, the third row shows that the Tucson has a slightly larger fuel tank, which means you won’t have to stop quite as often for fuel. These two difference even out to having roughly the same driving range, and thus lessens the savings.
The final row just highlights the fact that both of these compact crossovers offer seating for up to 5 passengers including the driver.
