Just a few short years ago, in 2016 to be more specific, Hyundai introduced a new trio of electrified vehicles. Only one of them is available in our neck of woods, but for the new model year it was refreshed with new exterior style, an upgraded interior and other updates. While our fingers are crossed for the Electric and PHEV versions of the vehicle to be available here in Melbourne FL down the road, for now we’re pleased to be able to offer the 2020 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid!

Outside of the enhancements touched on above, one of the biggest blanked enhancements over the 2019 model year is the rearranging of packaging. More features are available on lower trim levels, plus new features and technologies are found throughout!

What’s new in the 2020 Ioniq Hybrid

When it comes to the exterior of the 2020 Ioniq Hybrid sedan, it features a grille adopting a new mesh-type design, redesigned bumpers on the front and rear, LED headlights, LED taillights, LED daytime running lamps, redesigned wheels and new side sill moldings. Moving to the interior, a 10.25” widescreen infotainment system is now available, a new center LCD information screen as well as upper and lower instrument panels, the upper console cover is new while the instrument panel as a whole now features dark chrome trim, the heating and cooling controls have been turned into touchscreen buttons while other controls adopt a piano key design. Finally, a high-tech and fully customizable ambient lighting system was added.

Further new features and technologies include an upgrade from 7- to 8-inch standard display audio system, Hyundai SmartSense featuring driver-assistive safety features such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping Assist, High Beam Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Following Assist, front parking sensors and Highway Driving Assist, regenerative braking control paddles, Blue Link, an electronic parking brake, Qi wireless charging, power folding mirrors that feature puddle lamps, an upgrade to a Harman Kardon premium audio system from Infinity and upgraded headlights from projector beam to LED.
