2020 Hyundai Sonata Melbourne FL

2020 Hyundai Sonata Exterior Passenger Side Front Profile

Back at the New York International Auto Show, Hyundai unveiled the next-generation of one of their most iconic vehicles. The 2020 Hyundai Sonata in Melbourne FL is an excellent option for any shopper in the midsize sedan segment, especially with its fresh, sophisticated design and large suite of technologies enhancing everything from convenience to safety. The 2020 Sonata is the total package, offering an incredible blend of style, performance and content with plenty of the little things too, like space and efficiency.

The Hyundai Sonata was first introduced back in 1985 and it has been a member of the lineup ever since, making it not only the oldest nameplate but also the longest-running vehicle on the lineup. The seventh generation kicked off in 2015, but this year marks the freshman year of the sedan’s eighth generation.

Specs & Features of the 2020 Sonata

There is plenty to get excited about in the all-new Hyundai Sonata, as it has been redesigned pretty much from the ground up. Embodying the new Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy currently employed by Hyundai, the new Sonata is more sophisticated than ever, with the appearance of a four-door coupe. It’s even the first vehicle on the Hyundai lineup to use Hidden Lighting Lamps, which turn chrome when not lit up.

When it comes to performance and efficiency, everything was improved slightly thanks to a new 2.5L engine option, generating an estimated 191 horsepower, 181 pound-feet of torque and 33 miles per gallon combined – which are increases of 6, 3 and 4 respectively over last year’s 2.4L engine. A 1.6L turbocharged option is available as well, generating 180 horsepower, 195 pound-feet of torque and an EPA-estimated 31 mpg combined.

The Sonata is also packed full of technologies and other content. For instance, the Sonata marks the first time a Hyundai has offered the company’s new Digital Key technology. This allows owners to unlock, start and even drive the vehicle without a physical representation of the car’s key. Everything can instead be done via smartphone!
