At the 2019 New York International Auto Show, not only did Hyundai introduce the world to the next generation of their most iconic model, but they also unveiled the most recent addition to their ever-increasing lineup of utility vehicles. The newest addition also represents the smallest member of the family and therefore makes it the entry-level CUV. The vehicle in question is the 2020 Hyundai Venue in Melbourne FL and we’re stoked to be able to offer it here at Coastal Hyundai.
Oftentimes, it takes much longer for a new nameplate to hit production. A vehicle might be introduced at an auto show and then join the lineup not just in the following model year but calendar year as well. Despite being introduced in April of 2019, the Venue went on sale in May and is expected to hit dealerships by the end of 2019.
As a mini-crossover, the Hyundai Venue slates into the lineup as the smallest member. Speaking more technically, it’s a few inches smaller in most exterior dimensions and just a bit less spacious in the cabin and cargo area. Powered by a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine, the Venue generates 121 horsepower, which might not sound like much but is plenty for such a small vehicle.
It’s also packed with all kinds of great content, including standard advanced safety technologies such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Driver Attention Warning and Rear Cross-Traffic Warning. Other, non-safety-related technologies found in the Venue include an 8” display audio screen, dual-charging USB ports, a rear-view monitor, heated front seats and side mirrors, and even adjustable driving modes that will automatically set certain things to their best parameters for different conditions, such as snow.
